CTAL-TA assumes you already have the core testing vocabulary and concepts in place, and builds on them with deeper test analysis, design, and implementation skills, so practical testing experience alongside CTFL will help you get the most out of the course.

CTAL-TA is a general Advanced Level certification focused on test analysis and design from a business/functional perspective, applicable across any development approach. CTAL-TTA is specifically about the technical, hands-on side of testing within Agile teams — automation, CI/CD, and technical risk. If your work is mostly about designing thorough test cases and evaluating functional correctness, CTAL-TA is the closer fit; if it's mostly automation and technical Agile testing, CTAL-TTA is.
